What ReelSync does
ReelSync is a personal tool that imports the owner's own TikTok videos and publishes or schedules them to Instagram accounts the owner connects. This policy explains what information we collect to do that and how we handle it.
Information we collect
- Connected platform accounts: when you connect Instagram, we receive an access token, your account ID and your username or channel name from that platform. We never receive your passwords.
- Content you provide: videos you upload or import from your own TikTok data export, captions, hashtags and schedule times.
- Publishing results: post IDs, links and error messages returned by the platforms.
How we use it
- To publish your videos to the accounts you choose, at the times you choose.
- To generate suggested captions, hashtags and titles. When AI captions are turned on, the caption text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for this purpose only.
- To show you the status of your posts and keep your connections working.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or collect data about other people's accounts, followers or followings.
Data from Instagram
We use Instagram's official API only to publish content to the accounts you connect and to read the basic profile details needed to show which account is connected.
Storage and security
Access tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256. Videos are stored in private Cloudflare R2 storage, shared with Instagram only through short-lived signed links at publishing time, and deleted after they are posted. All traffic uses HTTPS.
Retention and deletion
Disconnecting an account deletes its stored tokens immediately. You can also revoke access from each platform's own settings. To delete your ReelSync account and all associated videos and data, email us at the address below; we complete deletion within 30 days.
Service providers
We use hosting, database, file storage and AI providers to run ReelSync. They process data only on our instructions.
Children
ReelSync is not intended for anyone under 13, or the minimum age required by the platforms you connect.
